Angkor Cambodian Cafe in Eugene, Oregon

The menu offers the silhouette you'd expect.

If you long for the tastes of Cambodia, there's a slightly closer option if you live in Oregon. Angkor Cambodian Cafe is located in Eugene, Oregon, and serves several nice Khmer dishes.

This is cha kjnai, or fried ginger. It was pleasant.

It's good, traditional Khmer food in a comfortable space with a variety of Cambodian art on the walls. It's worth stopping by for a taste if you're in the area or passing through Eugene.
Try the lot cha sich kou, or fried short noodles with beef.

At the end of the meal, I said "akun" to show off my worldliness. The waitress responded with "What did you say to me?"

My accent - and charm - has deteriorated dramatically over the years.
